Animal 04:30
I’m laying on the shore, letting my head go Silent waves around Silent waves around I saw the shipwreck, I heard the sea And there was an animal And there was an animal I heard the curfew, saw the afterglow The moon lights the path The moon lights the path I walk in its steps, don’t know where i’m going She's dripping with blood She's dripping with blood I feel like an animal walking in the cold your headlights are my only day I feel like an animal walking in the cold and your blood is guiding my way I hope to see her shape, waiting in the snow I know I will find her But not in what form For now i go insane, let the ocean glow Let the ocean glow I feel like an animal walking in the cold your headlights are my only day I feel like an animal walking in the cold and your blood is guiding my way She knows when i'm alone, when i'm alone, when i'm alone ... that I'm an animal I'm an animal I'm an animal

Mumbo Jumbo 03:14
you know it’s too hard to live with yourself so you pass the time you run away you know it's too hard to do your best so you lose your sight and drift off the way from ocean to ocean from peak to peak from mountain to mountain from fear to fear from island to island from to sea to sea my last opponent is me you know you can try hard, and live with yourself don't pass the time, don't run away you know you can try hard, and do your best don't lose your sight don't drift off the way I am wading in the moon I am locked into my room I am wading in the tides and I still don't feel alive from ocean to ocean from peak to peak from mountain to mountain from fear to fear tell me what you found so deep tell me what you hide and keep you know that it’s too hard to live with yourself so you pass the time you run away

Clockwork 05:18
They say I’ve gone insane they wonder about what my life has become it’s for the lights that I wait for the hours alone They say i've gone berserk I still wonder if they're right I’ve been pulled off my own clockwork I’ve been forced into a fight And spinning in the darkness in the utmost unknown I made my own vortex and dove into the flow I’m searching for an answer in the light of day parallel lines and wide blue skies the birds in the morning haze so if you search for me in moments of doubt i’ll be chasing a flying kite i’ll be wasting my time
4.
let’s lose ourselves in this strange dance again to the place of no return down the alley a woman is stuck in the heat the underworld awaits with my hidden deities deep inside my skin there’s the sound of war drums played by a million slaves all my very own doubts let’s lose ourselves in this strange dance again to the place of no return the poison in the arrows we are water monsters trapped in this dark blue vault in this desire growing in the rivers all your different monsters all waiting to be free just let go of your ghosts let go of your fears I want you (The fire and the war) but do I need you ? (I’m lying on the floor) oh I want you (the one i secretly adore) but do I need you ? (is knocking at my door) oh come on now can we bloom now ? can we bloom now ? come on, come on, can we bloom now ? let’s lose ourselves in this strange dance again to the place of no return the poison in the arrows we are water monsters trapped in this dark blue vault in this desire let's lose ourselves and lose ourselves again

Noctyl 06:51
here’s how we created a perfect lie i saw you wandering through the night and said “from now on i’ll live in the dark, from now on i’ll fear the purest light” noctyl noctyl i saw you through the window sleepwalking in the cold in the darkness of your home were you alone ? were you alone ? are you living inside your own ghost ? winter in your heart with a shattered soul in secret, do you dream of me ? like i do about you here’s how we created a perfect lie i saw you wandering through the night from now on we’ll live in the dark from now on we’ll fear the purest light noctyl noctyl we escape into this secret world loving in a place we won’t disclose away from all the daylight fires but now night is falling can you hear me coming ?
6.
I finally made it I made it to the top but something here feels wrong and I can’t stop moving now I’m circling around the pit with a blindfold on my eyes my treasures are not rare enough I need her golden cave to reach beyond death fire coming from my mouth a beautiful surprise but I can't let it go now this frail power that she might contain this beauty undamaged she's my secret choir maybe we will reunite and sing along every night then let these secrets disappear and we'll be like a flock of birds we'll never come down to earth one gun blowing us away
7.
Departures 05:50
If I lay here I stay my words are from the highways I always wanted wide and blue escapes but through the years they always said : "listen to the mountains grow" now I’m living by the sea I forgot my old family will I come back for them ? and live with what happened back then ? now we're all hoping for rest I fall asleep and dream of a tilted life time travelling under the palm trees I will forget them for real until we spin into the colors until we rip off all the layers admiring what never went wrong until we build a home and sing songs until we find something inspiring under a loving arm.

about

On this record, Melatonin explores a more cinematographic side of their personality. Across the 7 tracks of the EP, their folk-rock impulses blend with dark electronica and wide ambient textures.
